Who’s ready to welcome 2021!
I think we can all say 2020 hasn’t been the best and I, for one, will be thoroughly celebrating seeing it leave through the backdoor on December 31st!
New Year is often seen as the biggest celebration in the calendar, and I don’t see why this year should be any different.
When we think of New Year we think of sparkle, glitter, glam and parties galore. Just because we can’t party like normal, doesn’t mean we can’t add some sparkle, glitter and glam to our NYE celebrations.
I often get clients coming back to swap their Christmas nails for New Year nails and this year is no exception. So to prepare, I feel it is a good time to delve into some inspiration!
1. Orange Matte, Marble and Gold Leaf
This style has been very popular this year. Marble hit the trend list last year and hasn’t budged! It is so beautiful and can be done in any colour. For this set, I incorporated a bright, beautiful orange and interchanged it with marbled gold leaf and a matte finish. Bravissimo!
2. Purple and Glitter
New Year is the time when the purples ALL come out! I don’t know if its connotations to fireworks or what, but I LOVE! This set was a simple almond acrylic, with purple gel and a glitter feature nail.
3. Classic Red
Red is also very popular, all the way through Winter really. But especially at New Year, perhaps because it compliments the little black dress so well! I know red nails and lips is always my go to choice for a party!
4. Black and Gold
I LOVE BLACK GLITTER. It is so stunning, and I love it the most as a natural, gel treatment on short nails. I was so thrilled when my client asked for this set. We highlighted it with some gold leaf to really make it pop… excuse me while I go and do this set on myself!
5. Marble and Glitter
This one is really extravagant, it incorporates three of the most decadent styles; marble, gold leaf and gold glitter. Perfect for New Years Eve!
